I'm not a woman so ... I can't honestly imagine how brutal it is to live here right now. But I can try to map and trace dynamics to help get the right perspectives for addressing the problem as we're still getting "not all men" as a freaking answer when it obviously is all of us who benefit from this shitshow ... and most who benefit lack the motivation to call things "as they can't see them" ... I'm not special here ... I'm just good at pattern recognition and am trying to see what connects.
I wanted to use historical events, present and past, mixed with present day occurrences that have been brought into view. I also want to access aspects of early Abrahamic text that serves the big three religions we're all having serious fucking problems with right now. From the present ... Epstein Horror (not going deep into this because ... it's unnecessary) Cornell kidnapping and rape torture. Renee Goode and Alex pretti executions.
From the recent past Salem Women Burning Spanish Inquisition and torture Crusades From the distant past Human sacrifice Crucifixion From the book Eve and the Apple / Lillith Cain and Abel Tower of Babel.
We're going to be talking about men mostly during this ... because men are different from women in many ways, but one specific way that makes them capable barbaric behavior. (No slight to the Barbars).
Men don't grow life in their body, they don't "necessarily" imprint bond on children ... This means they can live their entire lives without true empathy or only a shallow or focused amount (for our tribe/city/family/religion)... Men can see their male offspring as threats (harkening back to Kings 2 in the Bible where King David and Absalom fight a war. I will reference this pair again).
So men are capable of being turned into barbaric warriors who have really no limitations on what they're capable of (see the Epstein files, Spanish Inquisition) as long as they are backed by an authority that absolves them. This is then defended and that defense is normalized.
Now, I'm writing this exploratory piece in the first place, because I don't fucking get it. My nieces friend shared the Crucifixion story with her WHEN SHE WAS 5. She came home in tears saying the thing that really should be in the minds of any sane living thing. "WHY WOULD ANYONE EVER DO THAT???!!" Like, someone thought that up, and carried it out times 1000s back in the day. HOW? WHY WOULD ANYONE THINK OF THAT? Someone was like ... we'll cut up wood, nail it together really high ... and nail a human to it so everyone can watch them die horribly ... and they were like "hmm, yeah man let's do it." I'll bring in human sacrifice here ... what human was like "You know what's help us get rain? Killing a beautiful young woman/child." Um ... WHAT THE FUCK? And everyone was like "yeah that sounds like a good idea." WHAT??!! Why would anyone do ____? This is what I don't get.
The idea of rape is atrocious to me. There is nothing appealing to the thought of it. The thought of hurting or dominating people is just not part of my system. Could I have been trained otherwise? I can't say it's impossible ... Can't say I'm better, I'm a man and I'm definitely not giving myself the benefit of the doubt. We're thousands of years into genetically engineering men into being capable of being monsters. Not capable of being a monster back in the medieval ages? Ostracized or killed likely.
Now I'm going to point out something obvious rather than drawing it out ... Who is the biggest benefactor of bringing this type of monster to life? Dominator types, usually religious ... hierarchy based. Because they need to punish dissent. And of you make the punishment righteous (enemy of church, enemy of state) then it can even be normalized and celebrated.
Who is the main enemy of the creation of monsters? WOMEN. MOTHERS. GRANDMOTHERS. THE "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING TO MY CHILD?!!" group. So ... religion writes off Lillith and blames Eve for the fall. By the time we get to Absalom raping his own mother in the street to get at his father the king, the transformation from human to throwaway doll has already happened. And it was an easy move because society had already been acting that way for a long time. Note... those examples exist in all 3 western religions so there's no real difference in the normalcy of it, just a difference in cultural symptoms. Our cultural symptoms seem to stem from the systemically approved and normalized brutalization of male children, cutting them off from their emotional body at an early age. I could go on about socialization in school being more about violence and bullying with a side of dividing boys and girls in boys minds and male spaces, but we were all there so we know.
Men are raised to bring violence to the surface as the only acceptable emotion, because it's a power kink that in certain situations has no limitations on behavior. And seeing what "human beings" are capable of in these situations is nauseating. One aspect of washing our history of certain things has always been part of maintaining a status quo. A preservation of the power structure. Columbus day is a perfect example of that. We leave in that his ships discovered the new world, even though he was 3rd. We leave out that he was a human trafficker and rapist and murderer that started the genocide of 70 million indigenous. We also leave out that his crimes were so awful that he was stripped of his titles and spent time in jail. There was no legal system to stop him in the new world. But that separation still exists because men are still capable of creative and unspeakable acts of barbarism that boggle the mind.
Back to religion. The Abrahamic God didn't like people working together at the Tower of Babel ... punishment. Didn't like the way things were going around Noah's time ... punishment. Cain killed his brother because he didn't get accolades for a days work. Like whoa dude, that's a little much. Normal. Abraham was all ready to kill his son Isaac before God changed his mind. But hey, was Isaac okay? Doesn't matter because children are property. God seems to have a lot of punishment in Leviticus. Again we're still pre-new testament, so Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are all reading these. There isn't much history tracking the wild west of the dark ages. But the Spanish Inquisition was 350 years long. Part of this was exotic torture that was considered Righteous. People torturing people in the name of God. And the burning of women got to America.
Women, especially in groups, threatened the power structure ... So they'd publicy burn them alive in front of crowds. Like modernized Crucifixion. Human sacrifice for the sake of religious or political order. I was taught about that in school. Makes it feel far away. Like showing MLK Jr in black and white even though he was younger than my grandmother. What these atrocities had in common was systemic backing, and unlimited opportunity for cruelty. Which men willingly took advantage of ... While the systems have grown incrementally to get to where we are ... this is still the foundation.
What does a monster do with unlimited opportunity and religious/political support? Because it's happening now ... ICE, IDF, and the Epstein class. Opportunities arose, and sooooo many men jumped on it. Rape, public execution, violations of children. Its happening now. And it's being backed by who? Zionists, Evangelicals, radical religious in the middle east... and billionaires. The religious are getting off on the punishment kink. The billionaires have no limitations. I've often said it's not about money for the parasite class. It's about the suffering of the working class. Again... vengeance and punishment.
All of those listed above have repression and strict role servitude as core images to uphold, rendering a powerful hurt and angry shadow self capable of existing without any conscious awareness of how it is affecting internal narratives. People like this might get off on live streaming an execution. So, what's to be done? We first have to reconcile that rapists on one end, those who defend them, and torturers are all on the same slope. Then we make lists. We publicly audit people in positions of power. Then we make changes. We Hold every level of society accountable for finding and naming these people ... And we take the appropriate steps. We start trying to do this now. And we don't ever stop. This includes all systems. School. Medical. Law. Especially judicial. Religious needs to decide that radical versions are not compatible with peace or societal health. We don't ever stop.
