Hello! I am so excited to announce that we have our first guest blogger! There are so many things I could say, but I will let them introduce themselves! Please give a warm welcome to our dear friend, Rowan Elira Bean-Hoffain!

Howdy, everybody!
My name is Rowan Elira Bean-Hoffain, and I am incredibly excited to have signed on with Stir the Pot Fashion as a guest blogger. The values of the organization align incredibly well with my own, and while we are by no means a monolith of thought here, we agree on the things that matter most: treating each other, and the world, with respect, care, and kindness.
In the spirit of introduction, please allow me to share a few facts about myself so that you can get to know me better!
• I am 32 years old, having been born in Newark, Delaware and subsequently living all over the United States of America. Currently, I live in Las Cruces, New Mexico with my spouse and our two cats & two dogs.
• I am currently halfway through completing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Production from Berklee College of Music!
• I am a big ol’ queer! I am bi-romantic / pan-romantic (depending on which language you prefer), gray-asexual, and non-binary. My pronouns are they/them or she/her, but as long as you’re sincerely trying, don’t beat yourself up too much if you miss!
• I am disabled. I have Type One Diabetes Mellitus, meaning that I need to wear an insulin pump at all times or manage my blood sugar levels through MDI (multiple daily injections). I am also AuDHD (Autistic and ADHD), have PTSD, multiple musculoskeletal problems that have yet to be precisely figured out, and a few more conditions that are rather banal.
• I am what you may call a “multi-hyphenate,” meaning that there are many aspects of who I am that are all of equal or comparable importance to my identity. I am a guitarist, a vocalist, an audio recording engineer, and a mixing & mastering engineer.
I am also:
o An activist
o An amateur photographer
o Accomplished in a wide variety of career areas, from a restaurant manager to a specialty pharmacy technician (and so many more that I may as well just drop my resumé here, too) o A homemade dill pickler
o A former music journalist
o A small-business owner

• I am ½ of a punk band called K.y.l. HxC, and we are releasing an EP on October 8th, 2026 via SODEH Records. Many of the topics that we cover stem from the same root cause but manifest in different ways. Capitalism is the central antagonist, but its minions range from Generative AI / Large Language Models to fascism in America at the hands of ICE, systemic poverty, bigotry, and more. We have two singles out now on most platforms besides Spotify, but you’re going to want to hear them again when the EP is released because the new mix & master blows the single versions out of the water. We also use profits from our merch sales to create tangible action in the real world by donating to a variety of charities, from Immigration Justice Campaign to Food & Water Watch.
I am looking forward to bringing my unique perspective to Stir the Pot Fashion, and can’t wait to make my first contribution in the near future!
